Third graders showed off their green thumbs by participating in a cabbage contest!! Pine Hills Nursery sponsored the contest by providing every third grader with a “baby cabbage”. The students grew their cabbages from August to December! Eagerly, the students returned their cabbages to school in mid-December. After their cabbages were cut and weighed, the first place prize went to Kobe Smith and Fredrick William Heyl took second place! This is the second year that PCES has competed in the contest, along with other coast schools.   Thank you to Pine Hills Nursery for providing this hands-on learning experience for our students.
