The Pass Christian School District 4th grade Explore gifted students attended the Mississippi State Capitol! Students from Pass Christian Elementary and DeLisle Elementary School were given the opportunity to sit in the gallery to listen to the Mississippi House of Representatives, as well as the Mississippi State Senate. Students were able to witness the leadership and communication skills that they work on each week in their gifted classrooms. Representative Carolyn Crawford made sure our students were greeted by our local elected officials. The students were invited into the office of Mississippi Secretary of State, Delbert Hosemann. This was such a wonderful experience for our students to see our Mississippi State Leaders at hard work making decisions that will positively impact their futures! Students ended the day by walking the halls of the Old Capitol Museum and learning about our past leaders and Mississippi history. The 4th Grade Explore Gifted Classes at Pass Christian Elementary School and DeLisle Elementary School would like to thank Cindy Lamb, Manager of Client Relations at the Pickering Firm Inc., for organizing this trip.
